McGregor Reserve, Fort Myers, FL · August 2024
A complete exterior reset for a home in McGregor Reserve, one of the established neighborhoods off McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers. The scope covered a full house wash plus paver sealing on both the front driveway and walkways and the rear patio, with minor paver repairs along the way. Mature-tree neighborhoods like this one are hard on pavers: shade keeps surfaces damp, organic debris collects in the joints, and algae takes hold faster than it does in a newer, more open subdivision. The pavers were cleaned thoroughly first, and several areas that had shifted or settled were repaired before any sealer went on — sealing over loose or uneven pavers only locks the problem in. The homeowner chose a low-gloss finish, so the sealer used was Mahi, a penetrating sealer from Superior Quality Coatings. A penetrating product protects from within the paver rather than forming a film on top: the color is enriched slightly, water beads, and the surface keeps its natural texture instead of a glossy coat. It is the right choice when the goal is protection and stain resistance without a wet look. The house wash was done with our soft wash process — low pressure and a biodegradable solution on the stucco and trim — so that the walls were clean before the pavers were sealed and nothing ran down onto the fresh finish. Front and back, the property went from tired to finished in a single project.
